Clean Start

Gain new skills while keeping Portland neighborhoods clean with Clean Start. During this six-month job training program, you’ll receive mentoring while learning job skills and building confidence for future employment opportunities. Clean Start trainees can also easily access other CCC services, including health care, addiction treatment, housing support, employment services and more.

David’s Story

After six years couch surfing and getting high, David knew it was time for a change. His recovery journey includes housing at CCC’s Richard Harris Building and a job with the Clean Start program. “Visiting homeless camps to take out trash reminds me of where I’d be if I didn’t get clean,” he says.
