Program Information

Trainee Program Overview

The Central City Staffing Trainee Program is a 12-month, on-call employment opportunity that provides hands-on training while supporting daily operations across 47+ CCC housing buildings, administrative offices, and clinics. This program is designed to help individuals gain valuable skills and experience as they transition back into the workforce.

Central City Staffing Trainee Job Description

As a Central City Staffing Trainee, you will receive training in a variety of areas while performing essential duties such as:

  • Janitorial services
  • Customer service
  • Computer data entry
  • Safety and security
  • Emergency response
  • Assisting with special projects across CCC

We offer low-barrier, on-call employment, with flexible scheduling that accommodates appointments, treatment, and other personal obligations to help ease the transition back into the workforce. While many trainees are CCC clients, we also hire external candidates—most of whom are transitioning out of homelessness or incarceration and/or recovering from substance use disorders (SUDs).

All trainees participate in two weeks of intensive training, both in the classroom and on the job, to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.

Last year, 96 trainees gained full-time employment while participating in our program! This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience and opens doors for full-time employment.
