A significant portion of CCC’s housing consists of transitional units, primarily for individuals newly engaged in CCC’s substance use treatment services. Unfortunately, these residents are especially vulnerable to crises, sometimes causing them to leave abruptly. When they do, they often leave behind clothing, linens, kitchen items, and other household goods. Before the ROC was established, CCC had no choice but to dispose of these unclaimed items. Now, by reclaiming and redistributing these goods, we not only support our clients but also reduce waste and extend the life cycle of usable items—helping us fulfill our Commitment to Climate Action by keeping thousands of pounds of materials out of landfills and lowering our environmental impact.
