Sally McCracken Apartments is a four-story alcohol- and drug-free community building located in downtown Portland. The building consists of single-room occupancy units with shared bathroom facilities. Most units are rent subsidized through project-based Section 8, with residents paying a portion of the rent.

To apply, first review the screening and eligibility requirements below, found in Tenant Selection Plan (Section 8) and Building Criteria (Fair Market).  Then, submit a pre-application for the unit type you are interested in:

  • Sally McCracken Section 8 Tenant Selection Plan

    • The Fair Market waitlist is currently closed at the Sally McCracken.  Pre-application materials will be available here when the waitlist is open.

You have two options for submitting your pre-application materials:

  • Email. Send your completed and signed pre-application materials to for Section 8 units.
  • In-person. Bring your completed and signed pre-application materials to the CCC Housing Office at 523 NW Everett St., Portland OR, 97209. Application intake will be held outside, following physical distancing protocols.

Note: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we strongly encourage applicants to submit pre-application forms by email. CCC will not accept faxed applications or those submitted directly at Sally McCracken Apartments.

Units at Sally McCracken Apartments are income and rent restricted based on a percentage of Median Family Income (%MFI) for Multnomah County.
