Meridian Gardens is a 85-unit building with a mixture of Single Room Occupancy (SRO) and Studio units. Sixty-five (65) units are permanent supportive housing for households with income below 30% of Area Median Income (AMI) and in recovery from substance use disorders. These units have project-based Section 8 rental subsidy attached. The remaining 20 fair market units are deeply affordable for households with incomes at or below 50% AMI. All residents will benefit from the community’s recovery focused programming. Long-term operating subsidies will be provided by Multnomah County’s Joint Office of Homeless Services to support ongoing services including case management, employment support, addiction treatment and recovery-focused programming.

Waitlists

We’re now accepting pre-applications for Project-based Section 8 ADFC subsidized units. The Pre-application is completed by the applicant, Meridian-Garden-S8-SRO.Studio-Pre-App. The PSH Eligibility Screening  PSH-Screening-Criteria.pdf is completed by an agency that can attest to the information in that document.  Both documents  be submitted together in order to be placed on the waitlist, no exceptions.

Interested applicants should review the full eligibility and screening information in the Meridian Gardens Tenant Selection Plan. Please note:

  • All applicants are required to submit an ADFC verification no later than time of move-in.  This document will be completed by a program of recovery and attest to the applicants continued program participation and 30-day clean time.  All applicants must pass a urinalysis during their intake appointment to be accepted at Meridian Gardens.
  • Meridian Gardens Section 8 SRO and Studio units have a preference for referrals made from established Preference Partner organizations.
    • For a full list of organizations able to provide preference, please refer to our Preference Partner Agency List (to be released early September 2024).
  • There is no screening fee or security deposit for PSH units at Meridian Gardens.  CCC will, however, complete a criminal conviction background screening and rental history check.

We’re are not accepting pre-applications Meridian-Gardens-SRO. Studio FM Pre-app  for the fair market  (No Subsidy) waitlist. ADFC requirements apply at Meridian Gardens the units will be available to those earning between 30-50% of the Area Median Income. Please refer to Building Criteria Meridian Gardens FM Building Criteria for qualification requirements. SRO units do include a toilet and sink rent is starting at $464.00 units available at 30% AMI, 172 sq. ft. Studio units rent is starting at $932.00 available at 50% AMI, 343 sq. ft.

  • No security deposit for Fair Market units at Meridian Gardens. CCC will, however, charge a screening fee to complete a criminal background and rental history check.

Meridian Gardens has a preference for applicants have preference referrals.  Applicants that would like to apply directly to Meridian Gardens do not have a preference.  There are two options for submitting your Section 8 pre-application materials:

Units at Meridian Gardens are income and rent restricted based on a percentage of Area Median Income (%AMI) for Multnomah County. Households must earn annual income below the corresponding 30% or 50%MFI to be eligible for the unit.
