The Project-Based Section 8 SRO waiting list is open as of Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 at 8:00am PDT. The list will close once 100 pre-apps have been accepted. Pre-applications for fair market (non-subsidized) units taken on continual basis.
The Hotel Alder is a five-story historic apartment building consisting of 99 single-room occupancy units located in the heart of downtown Portland. The Hotel Alder is an alcohol- and drug-free community. All units are income and rent restricted, with some project-based Section 8 rent subsidized units available.
Starting 8:00am PDT on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, CCC will be accepting pre-applications for Section 8 Project-based subsidy Single-Room Occupancy (share bathroom) units. The be considered waiting list, submit your complete and signed Hotel Alder Section 8 SRO Pre-Application to email@example.com once the waiting list is open. Please review the Tenant Selection Plan and see below for required and option pre-application materials.
Submitting Your Fair Market Pre-Application Materials
You have two options for submitting your pre-application materials:
In-person. Bring your completed and signed pre-application materials to the CCC Housing Office at 523 NW Everett St., Portland OR, 97209. Application intake will be held outside, following physical distancing protocols.
Note: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we strongly encourage applicants to submit pre-application forms by email. CCC will not accept applications submitted directly at the Hotel Alder.
Submitting your Section 8 SRO Pre-Application Materials
You have two options for submitting your Section 8 pre-application materials when the waiting list is open 5/25/2022, 8:00am:

Pets are not allowed at the Hotel Alder. Applicants/Tenants may request service or assistance animals as a reasonable accommodation when necessary to support a verified disability. All requests are subject to management approval.
Eligibility and screening
A security deposit is not required at the Hotel Alder.
The building is a mixture of ADFC (alcohol- and drug-free community) and non-ADFC units.
