An investment in Portland, by Portlanders
Please note, this event is now full and no longer accepting RSVPs.
Located in Portland’s historic Old Town District, the Starlight is bringing 100 new affordable homes online, 70 of which will provide permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. The remaining units are set aside for community members with limited incomes. CCC is partnering with the Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest (NARA NW) and CCC’s Imani Center, Karibu and Flip the Script to offer culturally specific programming for Native and African American individuals.
The people of Portland have made a significant investment in the Starlight. In November 2016, Portland voters passed the city’s first-ever housing bond, dedicating $258.4 million to create permanently affordable homes across our city. The Starlight is part of this investment and is moving Portland forward, making progress toward meeting the diverse housing needs of our community.
On Thursday, December 1 at 2:30 p.m., join emcee Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury along with CCC’s new President and CEO Andy Mendenhall, M.D., Howard Weiner of Cal Skate and many others as we joyously celebrate this milestone event.
