Mental Health

Getting one-on-one counseling and support from a qualified mental health professional can help you manage symptoms such as depression, anxiety, stress and other issues that may feel overwhelming. In-person appointments are available as well as phone and video sessions.

Sometimes our clients need a higher level of support for more severe mental health challenges. Care coordination and community support are available with a referral. Old Town Recovery Center offers:

  • Case management and care coordination
  • Wraparound care through a multidisciplinary team
  • Medication management and on-site pharmacy
  • Money management
  • In-home visits and outreach in the community

Talk to your current provider about making a referral to Old Town Recovery Center Community Outreach Recovery Engagement (CORE) or ICM teams.

For mental health emergencies, please call the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Our specialty is in intensive outpatient treatment, meaning clients see our team about five times a week, for up to nine hours total.

Treatment includes:

  • A treatment plan based on your individual needs
  • Medication-supported recovery with Suboxone (buprenorphine)
  • Individual counseling
  • Peer support and mentoring
  • Gender-specific group counseling
  • Acupuncture to reduce substance cravings, relieve chronic pain, regulate emotions, lower stress and anxiety, and support overall wellbeing
  • Coordinated care, including help accessing CCC’s nearby pharmacy and health care services at Old Town Clinic
  • Referrals for primary health care, mental health treatment, supportive housing and culturally specific recovery support at CCC or with other agencies

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program

The ACT program provides community-based, long-term, and time-unlimited services to individuals who meet Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) eligibility, have a primary psychotic diagnosis, significant functional impairment, and continuous high service needs.

The Community Outreach Recovery Engagement (CORE) team, comprised of QMHAs, QMHPs, and peers, makes up CCC’s ACT program. The CORE team provides services within the Old Town Recovery Center in Downtown Portland. Services provided by CORE are team-based and integrated with primary care to offer more comprehensive treatment of behavioral health disorders.
